RITUAL TOA PEH KONG - TOA PEH KONG CEREMONIAL
Prosesi Toa Peh Kong merupakan atraksi seni budaya Cina yang sangat banyak menarik perhatian masyarakat dari dalam maupun luar kota Manado bahkan mancanegara. Berbagai atraksi menarik yang ditampilkan dalam prosesi ini antara lain : iring-iringan kuda locia, mobil hias bunga warna-warni dan ornamen yang unik, gadis-gadis cilik dengan kostum model Cina diatas mobil yang dibentuk seperti model teratai, naga dan kuda. Pada bagian lain ada usungan yang dikawal sangat ketat yang sering disebut "Ince Pia" atau seorang yang telah "dimasuki" oleh Roh Suci yang mempertunjukan adegan memotong bagian tubuhnya namun tidak luka atau berdarah. Prosesi ini diawali dari Klenteng dan berkeliling sesuai rute yang diijinkan. Prosesi ini dapat berkeliling apabila diperkenankan dalam suatu permohonan ritaul keagamaan, namun jika tidak diluluskan maka tidak dapat dilaksanakan, sehingga prosesi ini hanya berlangsung di seputaran Klenteng. The Toa Peh Kong is Chinese culture attraction which has caught the eyes of the local people from Manado, outside of Manado and even from foriegn countries. There are many fascinating attraction that performed in this procession such as : Locia Horse Parade, cars decorated with colorful flowers and unique ornament, little girls with Chinese traditional costumes on top of cars which is reform like water lily flowers, Dragons and horses. In some parts there are high protected group of people called "Ince Pia" or who is has holyghost "inside" and demonstrating crosscut of certain parts of his body without getting harm or bleeding.
